Today’s Favorite Travel Product: The Plane Manners Book
As someone super passionate about travel, it’s been difficult for me to sit back and watch so many negative airline stories lately. It’s hard to avoid though. The media is obsessed with featuring any individual that’s both at an airport Continue reading Friday Favorite: Plane Manners Book→
Today’s Favorite Travel Product: Justin Power Stick
As we prepared to travel to Ireland, I sought out several new (to me) products. I tried to imagine every need we might encounter and plan accordingly. I knew we’d spend almost 2 full days on airplanes and in airports. Additionally, we’d have 2 children with us and keeping them busy was going to be the key to our success.
Today’s Favorite Travel Product: Lands’ End Backpack
Traveling with babies was no easy feat. I remember the days well. Our car travel involved a Tetris-style game of attempting to squeeze EVERYTHING we owned into the car. The bellhops at hotels would literally draw straws to see who got stuck with our car when we rolled up. Air travel was even more of a disaster. We were those people who held up the security line trying to juggle kids, strollers, shoes, and bags. (Thank goodness for pre-check now. We might be the reason for that creation…ha!) Without a doubt, Thumball gains more attention from other travelers than any other product we’ve ever used. On our most recent trip people stopped us time and time again to inquire about our Thumball. Not only that, we drew Continue reading Friday Favorite- Thumball→
Today’s Favorite Travel Product: American Tourister International Converter & Plug Set
Traveling outside your own country for the first time can come with several surprises. One of the main things people forget to prepare for is electrical conversions. All over the world different countries use different types of electrical sockets. Knowing this, and properly preparing prior to a trip will help make your experience much more enjoyable!
Imagine landing in a foreign country. Although your cell phone was on airplane mode for your entire fight, you used it to play games and now your phone battery is almost dead. One of the first things you are going to want to do upon arrival is charge your phone. But you have a major problem. Your charger won’t fit into the plugs in this country. Of course you can scramble to purchase an adapter in that country. However, if you’re anything like me, your go-to resource for finding a store that sells an adapter is your cell phone!
Your best bet is to prepare prior to your trip, rather than scramble once you arrive!
There are TONS of international converter and plug sets on the market. I’ve personally owned several different brands and I can honestly say they are not all created equally. Hands down my favorite option is by American Tourister.
The International Converter and Plug Set is both convenient and easy to use. Each converter has a clear label with the countries where it will work. Of course, you will only need to travel with the converter you need for your trip. The American Tourister set is reasonably priced and will last for years.
As with any converter set, you will want to be mindful of the voltage. I don’t even pretend to have an electrical engineering background so I never mess around (that’s also the rule follower in me!)
If you are planning an international trip I highly recommend investing in the American Tourister International Converter and Plug Set! You can purchase the set here.

Today is going to be a ‘Friday Favorite’ in reverse…
Recently I wrote a post admitting that my vacation videography skills are lacking. In fact, I’d go so far as to admit that they’re nonexistent. But, I plan on changing that. With the help of Continue reading Friday Favorite- Video Camera→
