Remembering September 11th, 2001

Today we remember those who lost their lives 16 years ago today. We would also like to honor everyone serving and fighting for our freedom.

Earlier this summer our family had the opportunity to visit the World Trade Center site in New York City. The experience was difficult, but I’m so thankful to have seen all the beautiful memorials and dedications! The photograph on this post was taken outside of the FDNY Engine 10 Ladder 10 station directly across from the World Trade Center site.

As part of remembering September 11th we talk to our children about the events that unfolded. If you are looking for some tips on talking to your kiddos about 9/11- visit this post.
