Friday Favorite: Wiz Gear Magnetic Car Mount

Today’s Favorite Travel Product: Wiz Gear Magnetic Car Mount

2 Pack from Wiz Gear

Before I start please let me be clear: I don’t promote or support texting while driving. If you live or travel in a state where talking on your cell phone is legal, then I am okay with that- if done safely! However, I do value Continue reading Friday Favorite: Wiz Gear Magnetic Car Mount

Friday Favorite: State Smarts Card Game

Today’s Favorite Travel Product: State Smarts Card Game

It’s been a while since I’ve featured a travel education item. But I’m coming back with a bang because this one is AWESOME!

Rather than re-writting it in my own words, here is the awesome teaser from the back of the box: “State Smarts is packed full of interesting and Continue reading Friday Favorite: State Smarts Card Game

Friday Favorite- Justin Power Stick

Today’s Favorite Travel Product: Justin Power Stick

As we prepared to travel to Ireland, I sought out several new (to me) products. I tried to imagine every need we might encounter and plan accordingly. I knew we’d spend almost 2 full days on airplanes and in airports. Additionally, we’d have 2 children with us and keeping them busy was going to be the key to our success.

It’s embarrassing admitting this, but our family of 4 traveled with 9 electronic devices. I knew, with certainty, keeping these charged Continue reading Friday Favorite- Justin Power Stick

Friday Favorite- Lands’ End Backpacks

Today’s Favorite Travel Product: Lands’ End Backpack

Traveling with babies was no easy feat. I remember the days well. Our car travel involved a Tetris-style game of attempting to squeeze EVERYTHING we owned into the car. The bellhops at hotels would literally draw straws to see who got stuck with our car when we rolled up. Air travel was even more of a disaster. We were those people who held up the security line trying to juggle kids, strollers, shoes, and bags. (Thank goodness for pre-check now. We might be the reason for that creation…ha!)

Friday Favorite- International Converter & Plug Set

Today’s Favorite Travel Product: American Tourister International Converter & Plug Set

Traveling outside your own country for the first time can come with several surprises. One of the main things people forget to prepare for is electrical conversions. All over the world different countries use different types of electrical sockets. Knowing this, and properly preparing prior to a trip will help make your experience much more enjoyable!

Imagine landing in a foreign country. Although your cell phone was on airplane mode for your entire fight, you used it to play games and now your phone battery is almost dead. One of the first things you are going to want to do upon arrival is charge your phone. But you have a major problem. Your charger won’t fit into the plugs in this country. Of course you can scramble to purchase an adapter in that country. However, if you’re anything like me, your go-to resource for finding a store that sells an adapter is your cell phone!

Your best bet is to prepare prior to your trip, rather than scramble once you arrive!

There are TONS of international converter and plug sets on the market. I’ve personally owned several different brands and I can honestly say they are not all created equally. Hands down my favorite option is by American Tourister.

The International Converter and Plug Set is both convenient and easy to use. Each converter has a clear label with the countries where it will work. Of course, you will only need to travel with the converter you need for your trip. The American Tourister set is reasonably priced and will last for years.

Each adaptor is labeled with the countries.

As with any converter set, you will want to be mindful of the voltage. I don’t even pretend to have an electrical engineering background so I never mess around (that’s also the rule follower in me!)

If you are planning an international trip I highly recommend investing in the American Tourister International Converter and Plug Set! You can purchase the set here.

Friday Favorite- A Traveler’s Easter Basket

Today’s Favorite Travel Product: An Easter Basket Full of Travel Goodies

With Easter less than a month away, I know the Easter Bunny will be shopping soon. As a parent, I have very few “genius” ideas. More often than not, I either copy other people’s great ideas or I totally Continue reading Friday Favorite- A Traveler’s Easter Basket

Today is going to be a ‘Friday Favorite’ in reverse…

Recently I wrote a post admitting that my vacation videography skills are lacking. In fact, I’d go so far as to admit that they’re nonexistent. But, I plan on changing that. With the help of Continue reading Friday Favorite- Video Camera
