If you’re a regular follower of this site, you know that I’m doing a series of posts about things to do in specific cities with kids this summer. I’ve highlighted several major cities across the US. Not only are these great resources if you live in these areas, but they’re also perfect for travel.
For a variety of reasons, Seattle is a city that offers some really great options for kids.
And, even better,it’s an awesome city for parents! With the most Starbucks locations in the US, every parent can be highly caffeinated for the day! Seattle activities are family-friendly and affordable. There are even many activities that accommodate the rainy climate.
However, a little known fact about the city- there are actually an average of 152 sunny days a year in Seattle! And, it’s actually NOT the rainiest place!
Whether you call the city “home” or you’re planning to visit this summer, here are 20 great activities to do with your kids:
- Space Needle
- Waterfront Ferris Wheel
- Woodland Park Zoo
- Chocolate Tour
- Alki Beach
- The Fish Ladder
- Pike Place Market (check out the Gum Wall!)
- Children’s Museum
- Seattle Waterfront
- Wild Waves
- Underground City Tour
- The Future of Flight (Boeing Factory Tour)
- The Pacific Science Center
- Seattle Mariners Game- Safeco Field
- Olympic Sculpture Park
- Kid’s Discovery Museum

**All of the activities listed are within a 1 hour driving (or ferry-ing) radius of Downtown.**
