Guest Post From Laurence, a Travel Consultant specializing in Disney Vacations

Even before I became a Disney Vacation Planner, friends and family were always eager to discuss Disney with me.

They knew I traveled at least yearly on a Disney vacation, and I loved talking about my experiences to anyone who would listen. One of the most common comments I would receive is “I love Disney, and would love to visit this year, but it’s just so expensive.”

Laurence and family love visiting Disney regularly.

Here are a few tips to save money and experience the Disney magic more often:

  • Follow Disney Updates

Walt Disney World has been consistent in offering discounted rates on Disney vacation packages. Past promotions have included free dining, free tickets, and discounted resort rates. These offers are also available to add to existing reservations.

How I can help: Disney rarely provides advance notice to the public. These offers are limited and can become filled the day they are released. As an Authorized Disney World Planner, I have knowledge of these offers, and will always be on the look out for offers that fit your vacation. I check for offers daily, so you don’t have to.

  • Visit Disney In The Off Season

Disney divides the year into 3 seasons -value season, regular season, and peak season. If your schedule is flexible, vacationing at Disney during the value or regular season allows you more opportunities at discounted prices and cheaper resort rates.

How I can help: I will work with you to plan the best time of the year for your family to visit Walt Disney World.

  • Understand The Benefit of Staying at a Disney World Resort

You will hear the word “priceless” quite often when people tell you why they stay at Walt Disney World Resorts. Disney offers so much that costs nothing to enjoy. Transportation to/from the parks, Disney Springs, and the airport is complimentary to all guests staying at a Disney Resort. Disney also offers free perks such as “Extra Magic Hours”, pool parties, poolside movies, and smores!

How I can help: There are currently more than 25 Disney Resort hotel locations to pick from when staying at Walt Disney World Resort. They range from budget-conscious value Resort hotels to luxurious deluxe Resort hotels. Prices for accommodations will vary, depending on the location and style of each Disney Resort hotel. Additionally, I’ve had personal experiences at many of these resorts. As a result, I can offer advice on the best resort for your family.

I also strongly recommend ordering a copy of Birnbaum’s 2019 Walt Disney World for Kids Guide. You will find TONS of helpful information and the book will pay for itself with your family’s enjoyment!
