Are you heading to Chicago this summer for a vacation?
Over the last couple weeks I’ve been doing a series of posts about activities to do with kids. Each post features a different city, and some great suggestions for enjoying the area as a family.
There are about a million things that make Chicago great, but all of them can be traced back to the diversity of entertainment. There is literally NO end to the fabulous variety of activities. Summer is an ideal time to visit because of the temperatures and sunshine.
The Windy City has a nice variety of indoor and outdoor options, and all of these are very family-friendly.
Here are my top 20 things to do with kids this summer in Chicago:
- Museum of Science and Industry
- Millennium Park
- Architectural Boat Tour
- Taste of Chicago
- Maggie Daley Park
- Navy Pier
- Shedd Aquarium
- Children’s Museum
- Buckingham Fountain
- Skydeck at Willis Tower
- Cubs Game at Wrigley Field
- Field Museum
- Brookfield Zoo
- Adler Planetarium
- Lake Michigan Beaches
- Art Institute
- White Sox Game at US Cellular Field
- Find your favorite pizza place (as in, try a bunch of places!)
- DuPage Children’s Museum
- Lincoln Park Zoo
**All of the activities listed are within a 1 hour driving radius of Downtown.**
Do you have any additional recommendations for top activities to do in Chicago this summer?
