Have you been waiting since 2020 to have some freedom and the ability to go abroad as a family?

Many international getaways are opening back up post covid, and now is the time to travel! If the last year taught us anything, it’s to take advantage of bucket list opportunities when you can. Invest in family time. Make memories and give your children experiences that they will always remember.

Here are three international getaways you could take your family for a great time and new experiences:

Disney

Disney has always been, and will always be a family favorite. The Disney parks have something for everyone, there are parks all over the world so you could stick to just one or make it your mission to visit them all. The parks are located in California, Florida, Paris, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. The California Disney park is the oldest, it first opened in 1955, many moons ago. The parks in Florida are the most popular choice, however, they are also the most expensive.

Disney is also home to just two water parks, both located in Florida. So for the water babies and thrill-seekers, you can spend the day lazing by the water enjoying the Florida heat and whizzing down the various waterslides on offer.

The best part of a Disney getaway is that with the wide variety of park options in a wide variety of locations, it appeals to the whole family!

Lapland

If you are looking for a winter family-friendly international getaway, where is better than Lapland? Imagine your little one’s face when you turn up in Lapland. You have snow, reindeers and of course, Mr. Clause himself. You and the kids will have a great time, the kids can take part in activities run by the elves while you are sipping your way through mulled wine and eating all the mince pies you can get your hands on. You can even enjoy family trips on the sleigh, pulled by reindeers.

If it is an adult trip to Lapland then why not take part in various activities including skiing, hiking, and snowmobiling around the snowy valleys. You could even spot the northern lights if you are lucky enough. The beautiful colors spilling across the sky while you are looking up at them are quite magical and an experience you will never forget.

London

London is somewhere you have to visit at least once, just to say you’ve been and experienced it.

Best international getaways with kids

There is a lot to do, it is a major city with lots of hustle and bustle.

If you want a day trip shopping you could head to Oxford street, filled with high street retailers as well as high-end fashion shops. If you want to surprise your little one you could head a little further down Oxford Street and into Regent Street, this home to the finest toy shop in the world, Hamleys. Filled to the brim with over 50,000 games and toys, your little one definitely won’t want to leave.

If you want to do some touristy activities, you could head to the Southbank and visit the London Aquarium, or the London eye. Head around the London eye and see all the sites of London from way up in the air.

We hope this guide is useful and helps you decide on your next international getaway or gives you an idea of destinations to put on your travel list!
